The Nominating Committee of Terese Besso, Ray Egatz, Mark Granstrand, Paul Pizio and Jessica Stanchak hereby put forth Paul Pizio for re-election to the Board of Governors, and Gary Hogue and Amy Scaturro for election to the Board of Governors:
PAUL PIZIO:
My name is Paul Pizio, and I am submitting this biography for your consideration to serve this great community as a member of the Packanack Lake Board of Governors for a second term.
My wife, Brooke, and I bought a home on Beechwood Drive in 2015, and from day one knew this was a unique community with special people. I earned my undergraduate degree from Montclair State University, and hold a CPA license in the state of New Jersey. I spent 10 years as an auditor in public accounting specializing in governmental, medical, and nonprofit entities. I’ve spent the last 9 years working in the public sector and am currently the Associate Vice President of Foundation Finance and Gift Accunting. Throughout my career I have held numerous leadership and management positions focusing on fiscal reporting, fiscal policy and procedures, internal controls and risk management.
My family and I have been active members in the community from the start. We are members of the golf club, have participated in the PLAA kickball and basketball leagues, and have coached in the lake’s youth softball, basketball and soccer programs. I have 11-year-old twins who will be entering 6th grade at GW Middle School this fall, as well as a 7-year-old daughter, who is a second grader at Packanack Elementary. My family loves this lake and this community. I am excited to not only help continue its greatness, but to make it an even better place for all. I would be honored to continue to serve on the Board of Governors. Viva La Packanack!
GARY HOGUE:
I have lived in Packanack Lake for over 5 years now with my wife. We have two sons, ages 2.5 and 5 months. I earned a Bachelors in Accounting from Montclair State University and spent the first 9 years of my career in public accounting. For the last 9 years I’ve been working in commercial real estate, currently as a Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer of an investment management firm. I also currently serve on three non-profit Boards as the Treasurer, including the PLAA. Once I had children and began to have an active role with lake activities, it became clear that I wanted to be involved as much as possible with this community. With my professional experience, I feel that I could be a great fit on the Board of Governors and look forward to contributing towards the growth and sustainability of this community that we all love.
Amy Scaturro
My name is Amy Scaturro, and I am submitting this biography for your consideration to serve this great community as a member of the Packanack Lake Board of Governors for a first term.
My Husband Dave grew up in Wayne and we were so excited to find this amazing lake community to settle down and raise our family. We bought our first home in Packanack on Beechwood Dr in 2011 and renovated our current home on Oakwood Dr in 2019. I earned my undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University in Education and worked in Franklin Lakes as a 1st grade teacher and reading specialist for 10 years. I am an active participant at Packanack Elementary school as committee chair and 3 year PTO president. Tapping into my teaching background and love of working with children, I’ve enjoyed planning successful fundraisers, family nights, running the school garden as well as planning/ managing the build of our new Packanack School playground. Our family truly enjoys utilizing all that Packanack Lake has to offer from kids sports, summer camp, to adult activities and clubs. We are members of the golf club, have participated in the PLAA kickball and softball leagues, and have coached in the lake’s youth soccer and softball programs. Dave and I have 3 girls. Our oldest daughter is excited to be entering 6th grade at GW Middle School this fall, along with twin 10-year-old twin daughters in 5th grade at Packanack Elementary. My family loves this being a part of Packanack Lake and I am excited to help it continue to be an active, safe and successful community. I would be honored to serve on the Board of Governors.
