THURSDAY, JULY 4:

EAST BEACH 10-8 “NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY,”– GUARD/SUPERVISOR OPENS THE BEACH FOR THE DAY, NO GUARD ON THE STAND. NO MORE THAN 2 GUESTS ALLOWED, AND PLEASE REFER TO RULES REGARDING “NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY HOURS” POSTED ON THE BEACH BULLETIN BOARD AND POSTED BELOW.

EAST BEACH 10-3 FULLY STAFFED, 3-8 “NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY”
NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY RULES 2024:
- A staff member will monitor the beach, check beach badges, enforce the beach rules, and lock the gate upon closing.
- During no lifeguard on duty periods, the Aquastation will not be open to use. Swimmers must stay within the swim ropes. Only two guests with passes are allowed during this time. The member must accompany the guests.
- Parties must be scheduled with the Clubhouse and will not be allowed during no lifeguard on duty times.
- Water safety is our highest priority, safety rules must be followed.
- Transitioning from “Lifeguards on Duty” to “NO Lifeguards on Duty:” the lifeguards will blow the whistle and have all swimmers exit the water. The lifeguards will notify the remaining members that swimming until beach closing will be at own risk, no lifeguards.
- Warning, No Lifeguard On Duty sandwich board signs will be posted at each beach entrance.
- Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- NO swimming alone.
- The use of PLCA boats, paddle board or paddle boats is prohibited.
- All established beach rules apply.
- The PLCA Ranger will regularly patrol the beaches.
- A supervisor or lifeguard will be stationed on the beach. They will be responsible for the following:
–Putting up the No Lifeguard on Duty signs.
–Being present at all times on the beach.
–Enforcing all PLCA beach rules.
–Checking beach badges and guest passes.
–Ensuring bathrooms are clean and stocked.
–Enforcing the rules that no swimmers use the Aquastation, docks and swim lanes.
–Enforcing that swimmers stay within the roped beach swim area.
–Enforcing that swimmers do not use flotation devices.
–Clearing the beach and water of swimmers at closing time and locking the beach gates and restrooms.
–If at any time, the supervisor/guard deems that the beach and/or swimmers/members are unsafe, the water/beach will be cleared of swimmers and/or asked to leave the beach facility, and the gates locked. (ie. Thunder, lightning, not abiding by the rules).
