Dear faithful PLCA recyclers,

We are excited to announce that our community is once again participating in a wonderful recycling initiative through Trex, a company known for its innovative approach to recycling plastic film and turning it into environmentally friendly products.

As part of this program, we will be collecting plastic film—such as grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, and other types of soft plastic packaging—that cannot be recycled through regular municipal services.  By participating, our community has the chance to recycle 1,000 pounds of plastic in 12 months and win a beautiful Trex bench.

To make this program a success, we need your help! We encourage all to sign up and get involved by collecting their plastic film at home and bringing it to Packanack Community Church for proper recycling. Every bit counts and your participation will make a significant impact.

Here are the details of what you can recycle:

        •       Plastic grocery bags
        •       Bread bags
        •       Dry cleaning bags
        •       Bubble wrap
        •       Ziploc and other resealable bags (clean and dry)
        •       Newspaper sleeves
        •       Ice bags
        •       Plastic wrap around water bottles or toilet paper

PLEASE NO PLASTIC BOTTLES OR COMINGLED RECYCLING.

Bins will be located by the glass breezeway for easy drop-off. We appreciate all the help and support you can provide, as we work together to make our community greener.

We also need volunteers to assist with weighing and transporting the collected plastic to designated drop-off locations (Kohl’s or Stop & Shop loading docks). If you can help with this important part of the process, please sign-up HERE. Your time and efforts will ensure we reach our goal and make our community more sustainable.
