Recycling Update From The Mothers Club Green Team

Dear Packanack,

I want to start by extending a heartfelt thank you to all of you who participate in our plastic film recycling efforts. Thanks to your consistent support—sending in bags from home, reminding your kids, and spreading the word—we’ve been able to make a real difference in reducing waste in our community by recycling over 3,000 pounds of plastic film over the last few years.

Plastic film collection will continue over the summer at Packanack Community Church. Bins are available just outside the glass door entrance, so feel free to keep collecting and dropping off your clean plastic film (grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, etc.) throughout the summer months. Please, no comingled recycling such as bottles.

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love your help this summer too! We’re always in need of extra hands to keep things running smoothly. If you’re interested in signing up, please see the SignUp Genius link below, we’d be so grateful.

Thank you again for being part of this important initiative!
