As we gather with family and friends this month, I want to express my gratitude for everyone who contributes to the Packanack Lake spirit. Your kindness, participation, and care make this community special all year long. Thank you for the time, energy, and enthusiasm you bring to every event, project, and conversation—it’s what makes Packanack truly feel like home.
Goings On Around the Lake:
Following the Annual Membership Meeting, there have been some changes to the Board of Governors . Both Laura Mango (Membership Governor) and Paul Pizio (President) have completed their terms. We are all deeply grateful for their leadership, dedication, and tireless work behind the scenes—efforts that are often unseen but vital to the strength and future of the PLCA.
As we look ahead, I’m excited to build upon the strong foundation that makes Packanack such a vibrant and connected community. Throughout the year, I’ll be sharing updates on behalf of the Board of Governors, including the latest developments and opportunities to get involved in activities and events around the lake.
Dredging of the Fingers continues under the direction of the Wayne Township and their third-party contractor. A temporary dam has been installed that allows them to pump out water and continue to dredge. Please use caution near the work zone—do not attempt to walk into or around the emptied portion of the Fingers while work is ongoing.

Spotlight: Packanack United Givers Plan (UGP)
The Packanack United Givers Plan (UGP) is our community’s charitable giving program, created to support local causes. Through the generosity of residents, the UGP funds a variety of local charities—every donation, large or small, makes a meaningful difference. This year’s fundraising effort features an East vs. West challenge to see which side of the lake is the most charitable! Be sure to support your side and the UGP. UGP is a registered 501c3, and an option for Company Matching for those working at larger corporations. Visit the UGP website for more details on how to get involved.
See you around the lake,
PLCA President
