Recycling Update From the Mothers Club Green Team

Hi Packanack Lake Community,

We’re thrilled to share an exciting update from our very first month of the Plastic Film Recycling Program! Thanks to your participation and commitment, we collected and recycled 177 lbs of plastic film. That puts us well on our way toward our 1,000-lb goal, with 824 lbs to go before we earn a brand-new recycled bench for our community spaces.

This strong start shows what we can accomplish together — and we’d love to keep the momentum going! Volunteers are always appreciated, whether you can help with sorting, weighing, or transporting materials. If you’d like to pitch in, please use the Sign-Up Genius link below:

A quick, friendly reminder:
♻️ We accept PLASTIC FILM only — grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, shipping pillows, and other soft plastics.
🚫 Please do NOT drop off garbage, plastic bottles, hard plastics, or commingled recycling, as these items cannot be accepted in this program.

Thank you for helping us make Packanack Lake a greener, more sustainable community. Let’s keep pushing toward that 1,000-lb goal! As always, feel free to reach out with any questions- 973-634-4811 or keg107@hotmail.com.

With appreciation,

Kelly Delaney
