A Year to Remember – December 2025 President’s Message

As we look back on an incredible year at Packanack Lake, it’s clear that our community spirit is stronger than ever. From summer fun on the lake to the colorful celebrations of fall, each season has reflected the pride and care we share for this special place. As the season turns and the quiet of the winter months arrive in Packanack I want to wish you peace, joy, and renewal in the year ahead.

Goings On Around the Lake:

Dredging of the Fingers continues under the direction of the Wayne Township and their third-party contractor. There is no additional update to provide since my last message in November. Please continue to use caution near the work area and do not attempt to walk into or edges of the emptied portion of the Fingers while work is ongoing. The work area on the peninsula has been heavily disturbed, it is expected that when the dredging is completed the area will be restored to how it was before the work began. See PackANews article for additional details.

In an effort to enhance communication and engagement within our community, we are implementing a new software platform called TownSq, or more affectionately and appropriately renamed by the Governors “PackanAPP”.  This platform will help streamline how we share information, making it easier for members to stay connected and up to date. One of its key features is a convenient mobile app that provides quick access to announcements, events, and community updates. As we move forward with this transition, we need to ensure that our members’ contact information is accurate and up to date. Please use the link below to complete the form and provide your primary email address and house address. Instructions on how to add additional household members will be shared separately. Be sure to add “noreply@townsq.io” to your email favorites to ensure messages don’t end up in your junk box. More information to come as we ramp up adoption.

Club Spotlight: Packanack Mothers Club

The Packanack Lake Mothers Club continues to be one of the cornerstones of our community—welcoming new families and creating lasting connections that make life at the lake so special. For many residents, joining the Mothers Club is their first introduction to Packanack life, offering an easy and meaningful way to get involved, meet neighbors, and feel part of the community right from the start.

What begins as casual introductions often blossoms into lifelong friendships. The Mothers Club goes beyond social gatherings by helping connect families with children who will be in the same school grades, making it easier for kids (and parents!) to build friendships early on. Whether its organizing children’s and family events, or maintaining the children’s park the Mothers Club embodies the true spirit of community. Members are always looking out for one another—organizing meal trains for families in need, celebrating milestones together, and supporting each other through life’s ups and downs.

The Packanack Lake Mothers Club is more than a social group—it’s a welcoming network of caring, engaged neighbors who make Packanack feel like home.

If you’re new to the lake or lived here for some time but want to find out more we encourage you to get in touch and get involved! And for all PLCA members, please help spread the word—let your new neighbors and incoming families know about this wonderful group.
