Dear Packanack Families,

Thank you for continuing to support our TREX Plastic Film Recycling Program! Your participation has made a great impact! 

TREX recently introduced a new reporting platform starting January 1, 2026, and organizations now report recycling totals quarterly instead of monthly. If an organization reaches 250 lbs in a single quarter, it is entered into a prize raffle. In addition, they are expanding the award offerings beyond benches to include Solo stoves, outdoor games, and other prizes. 

Thanks to your efforts, we have already recycled 244 lbs of plastic film between January and now, which hopefully means Packanack will be entered into the raffle when we submit our first-quarter totals at the end of March. Great job!

A quick reminder as you continue collecting:

• Please recycle plastic FILM only (grocery bags, bread bags, produce bags, etc.)
• No commingled recycling (no bottles, cans, paper, or rigid plastics)

We also want to give a huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers who help keep this program running. If you have less than 30 minutes a week to spare, please consider signing up HERE to help weigh and transport the plastic film. Even a small amount of time makes a big difference.
