Dear Members,

Given the unprecedented spread of COVID-19 around the region, the PLCA has taken prudent, preemptive measures to try to reduce the gathering of groups on PLCA property, and instituted other public health best practices, per state and CDC guidelines. The east beach basketball court will also be closed today due to the large number of youth who congregate there. All the steps taken will allow our community to better implement social distancing, which is found to be the best action to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Please leave the parking lot barriers in place and respect the closure of the Carney Park playground and other common areas like the Kilroy and East Beach parking lots.

While we know the decision by the PLCA to close some of our property may be an inconvenience at the moment, please know it is only temporary. The PLCA will continue to monitor the events taking place in our region, and continue to implement best practices, per state and CDC recommendations. All of us as members of the Packanack community can take steps essential to help slow the spread of this pandemic. We’re relying on everyone to be good neighbors, use good judgment, and to have some flexibility and goodwill in these extraordinary times.

We know it’s a stressful time for all, and we wish you and your family health and wellness during these significant days and weeks ahead. We are all in this together.
