FUN FACTS!

UGP (UNITED GIVERS PLAN OF PACKANACK) IS 66 YEARS OLD! 

WE USED TO GO DOOR TO DOOR….There was an actual UGP Day.

You had your cash or check ready when the doorbell rang.  The money

was run down to the Captains at the clubhouse.  They would tally

up all the money, and hand it all over to the Treasurer & President!

20 SMALL local NON-PROFITS receive the money collected!  Your

one payment is divided up, and our board hand delivers checks to

the organizations at the end of the year!    

 3 EXAMPLES OF HOW YOUR MONEY IS SPENT:

CHILD LIFE – ST. JOE’s:  Purchased mobiles for the babies hospitalized with RSV!

FOUNDABILTIES – A safe space for young adults with “found abilities” who, among other tasks, fold and label our Pack – A – News….purchased a refrigerator for their crew!  Their lunches and snacks are now kept cold! 

WAYNE COUNSELING CENTER –  used the funds toward the salary of a Nurse Practitioner (a requirement that they have one on staff).

Many of our regular former donors have sold their homes and moved out of the Lake.  We need and hope the newer residents and younger generation will join in our tradition! It’s a feel-good tradition!
