Join us on Thursday, December 13th at 7:30 PM to hear from Dr. Jennifer Callanan and her William Paterson students as they present the results of their Packanack Lake water and sediment evaluation.  Ryan Sullivan has been overseeing this effort which involved analyzing water and sediment samples collected at eight outfall locations around the lake.  The samples were collected before and after a major rain event and were analyzed for several key water quality parameters including Phosphorus.    Sediment samples were also collected from the lake bed in three locations and were analyzed for key parameters.

This project is an important step in helping us understand the nutrient addition that occurs during rain storms and will assist us in fine tuning a plan designed to improve our lake water.
